Summer Crafting Event
Program Description:
Join us for a fun and creative evening of crafting and connection! Participants will design and decorate beautiful taper and pillar candles using colorful tealights and create pressed flower mason jars to take home as handmade keepsakes. This relaxed, family-friendly event is perfect for all ages and encourages creativity, quality time, and artistic expression. All supplies are included, and light refreshments will be served.
Program Content:
Participants will create two hands-on craft projects in a fun and welcoming environment. Activities include decorating taper and pillar candles using paint and colorful tealights, as well as designing pressed flower mason jars using dried flowers and decorative materials. The program encourages creativity, self-expression, and quality time through guided craft activities. All supplies and materials are provided, and light refreshments will be available during the event.
Registration Information:
- Walk-in registration hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM, at 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
- Online registration is available beginning at 8:45 AM on the first day of registration for Residents and Non-Residents and ongoing until the program is full.
Requirements:
- All ages welcome but must be accompanied by adult. Crafts may need parental supervisor and help.
Fees:
Payment in full must be received prior to the start of the program. Financial Aid is available for qualified households. Forms are located on the Recreation/HYCC websites or at the front desk of the Hyannis Youth & Community Center.

Refund Policy:
Prior to the start of the program, refunds will be given minus a $10 Administration Fee. Refunds are not issued on or after the start of the program.
