Build A Bevin Skiff Rowboat
Program Description:
This program is a collaboration with the Cape Cod Maritime Museum. This program is a unique opportunity to learn how to build a Bevin Skiff rowboat. If weather permits, participants will be able to launch and row the boat in the Museum harbor. This program is instructed by experienced volunteers and is made available with a grant from the JFK Memorial Trust Fund. Children should wear appropriate clothing and shoes and be ready to get dirty.
Registration Information:
- Walk-in registration hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM, at 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
- Online and walk-in registration is available beginning at 8:45 AM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 for Residents and Non-Residents on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 and will continue until full.
Requirements:
- Wear closed toe shoes
- Bring snack and a water bottle
Fees:
Payment in full must be received prior to the start of the program. Financial Aid is available for qualified households. Forms are located on the Recreation/HYCC websites or at the front desk of the Hyannis Youth & Community Center.

Refund Policy:
Prior to the start of the program, refunds will be given minus a $10 Administration Fee. Refunds are not issued on or after the start of the program.
