Program Content:
Start your engines and join us for a fun-filled Power Wheels Derby! Participants will cruise, race, and show off their wheels while enjoying a lively and supportive atmosphere. Whether they’re racing for fun or just enjoying the ride, this event is all about smiles, laughter, and community fun! Top racers and the best decorated vehicle will receive awards. Participants must bring their own sit in vehicle. Divisions include Limited Pro Stock (Ages 2–4, must be 2 by event date) and Pro Stock (Ages 5–7). Helmets and parent/guardian supervision are required at all times.
Registration Information:
- Resident: Wednesday, May 6
- Non-Resident: Wednesday, May 20
- Walk-in registration hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM, at 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
- Online registration is available beginning at 8:45 AM on the first day of registration for Residents and Non-Residents and ongoing until the program is full.
Requirements:
- Participants Ages 2-4.
- Only 12-volt batteries designed for Power Wheels are allowed.
- Participants are required to wear a minimum of a bicycle helmet and closed toed shoes.
- Drivers body must be fully contained in vehicle ( must be sit in NOT sit on).
- No bumpers, weights or anything to reinforce the vehicle is allowed.
Fees:
Payment in full must be received prior to the start of the program. Financial Aid is available for qualified households. Forms are located on the Recreation/HYCC websites or at the front desk of the Hyannis Youth & Community Center.
Schedules:
Please check specific program dates, times, and locations. Recreation staff will contact participants for any changes to the program.
Refund Policy:
Prior to the start of the program, refunds will be given minus a $10 Administration Fee. Refunds are not issued on or after the start of the program.
