Program Content: Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center.  The game is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a wiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It is easy to learn, and can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for rookies or experienced players.  Four courts will be set up each day, with balls and extra paddles if needed.  Sign up with friends or individually and come out to meet new people and play this fun sport. Registration Information: Walk-in registration hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM, at 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA  02601.    Online registration (https://barnstablema.myrec.com/info/default.aspx) is available beginning at 8:45 AM on the first day of registration for Residents and Non-Residents and ongoing until the program is full.    Requirements: Participants must be registered. Fees: $40.00 Participant Minimum: 12 Participant Maximum: 30 Schedules: Recreational play will be on Mondays starting October 27th and ending on December 15th. Wednesdays starting October 29th and ending on December 17th will be for competitive play. Both recreational and competitive play will be played from 9:00am-11:00am.  Refund Policy: Prior to the start of the program, refunds will be given minus a $10 Administration fee. Refunds are not issued on or after the start of the program.
