Program Content:
JR. LIFEGUARD TRAINING
This class prepares you for Lifeguard Training. It is necessary to pass a Red Cross Level 6 swim test the first day in order to participate. Full refunds will be issued if participant cannot pass the swim test.
LIFEGUARD TRAINING
This six week class includes CPR, First Aid and LGT Waterfront Certifications. Pass it and you're certified to guard! It is necessary to pass a Red Cross Level 6 swim test the first day in order to participate. Full refunds will be issued if participant cannot pass the swim test.
Registration Information:
- Residents: Wednesday, May 6
- Non-Residents: Wednesday, May 20
- Walk-in registration hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM, at 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
- Online registration is available beginning at 8:45 AM on the first day of registration for Residents and Non-Residents and ongoing until the program is full.
Requirements:
- Participants will be moved levels based on their swimming ability that will be tested on the first day.
Fees:
Payment in full must be received prior to the start of the program. Financial Aid is available for qualified households. Forms are located on the Recreation/HYCC websites or at the front desk of the Hyannis Youth & Community Center.
Schedules:
Please check specific program dates, times, and locations. Recreation staff will contact participants for any changes to the program.
Refund Policy:
Prior to the start of the program, refunds will be given minus a $10 Administration Fee. Refunds are not issued on or after the start of the program.
