Program Content:
Back, back, back, GONE! Be a part of Barnstable Recreation’s first ever Foam-Ball Home Run Derby. All participants will use the provided bat. Each player will get to bat until they make 10 outs (swings that don’t result in a home run) or run out of time. The top performers from each round will advance until we are down to two batters. Then whichever batter hits the most homers will win the Derby. Batters in the younger group will have scoring opportunities for non-homers, such as hitting it off the Green Monster and more. Parents, guardians, or older siblings can pitch to their batter. The program coordinator will pitch to participants who do not have a pitcher.
Registration Information:
- Walk-in registration hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM, at 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
- Online registration is available beginning at 8:45 AM on Wednesday, May 6 for Residents and Wednesday, May 20 for Non-Residents.
- Registration is ongoing until the program is full.
Requirements:
- Boys and girls in grades 3-8.
- Participants should wear athletic attire. Sneakers are required.
- Participants should bring a water bottle.
Fees:
Payment in full must be received prior to the start of the program. Financial Aid is available for qualified households. Forms are located on the Recreation/HYCC websites or at the front desk of the Hyannis Youth & Community Center.

Refund Policy:
Prior to the start of the program, refunds will be given minus a $10 Administration Fee. Refunds are not issued on or after the start of the program.
